MerinoFusion 190 is a hybrid weave of superfine merino and polypropylene that creates a hard wearing, yet soft and luxurious, next to skin feeling material that is perfect for base layer thermals. Its ideal for skiing, bushwalking, sailing, running and cycling, as well as for casual and travel wear.
You might use a 190gsm garment (weight in grams that one square metre of this material weighs) in the snow, the middle of winter, in frosty conditions, when the southerly's are howling across the desert in July. Or if you are prone to feeling the cold earlier than others, this can be a good all rounder base layer.

REVIEW: Simon Tong - Trekked to Everest Base Camp Nov 2015.
‘The WW Base layers were all extremely comfortable and soft. Not itchy at all. As there was no laundry facility or even showers as we climbed higher, the clothes' odour-resistance was ESSENTIAL and very obvious. They simply didn't smell and they also dried very quickly. I found it really amazing that the same top kept me warm when it was cold, and kept me cool when it was hot. I wore the pair of long johns at night as a pj and they kept me very warm’.
‘I found the merino fusion top very interesting. It has all the qualities of a merino top, warm and comfortable, but not as soft and doesn't cling to the body as much. I feel it's more suitable as a top layer with a lighter weight merino underneath’.
